Meow Hello Hotel Terms and Conditions
Overview
- This website is operated by Meow Hello Hotel. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us,” and “our” refer to Meow Hello Hotel. The terms “owner,” “you,” and “your” refer to the owner of the pet or the agent acting on behalf of the pet owner.
- These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site and all services provided by Meow Hello Hotel. By making a booking with Meow Hello Hotel, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. Amendments to these Terms and Conditions must be agreed to in writing by us. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The Terms and Conditions in place at the time of booking will apply to that booking.
Booking and Payment
1. Full payment of all charges and fees for the entire booking duration is required prior to check-in.
2. You agree to pay all costs and charges for special services requested or deemed necessary by Meow Hello Hotel during the stay, including but not limited to the costs of flea treatment, vet bills, medical expenses, travel fees, and labor costs.
Cancellation or Modifications to Bookings and “No-Shows”
1. You must notify us if you wish to cancel or modify a booking.
2. A charge of 50% of the full booking amount will apply if the booking is canceled or modified within 7 days of the check-in date, or within 14 days if any part of your booking period includes the following peak dates: South Australia public holidays, long weekends, Easter holidays, or Christmas holidays from 20th Dec to 8th Jan.
3. A charge of 100% of the full booking amount will apply if the booking is canceled or modified within 24 hours of the check-in date, or within 48 hours if any part of your booking period includes the following peak dates: South Australia public holidays, long weekends, Easter holidays, or Christmas holidays from 20th Dec to 8th Jan. This charge will also apply if you do not attend your scheduled booking.
4. Once the cat has been checked in, no refunds will be given. This applies to both early pick-up and early termination in the case of boarding.
5. Credit card payment processing fees will be deducted from the refund. These are the fees charged to us upon completion of any booking through our third-party merchant provider.
Minimum Boarding Stay and Peak Periods
1. During off-peak periods and certain peak periods, the minimum boarding stay requirements published on the website will apply.
2. Peak periods include South Australia public holidays, school holidays, Easter holidays , and the Christmas holiday period (from December 20th to January 8th).
Boarding Admission
1. You must provide accurate information, including pet owner details and pet information. You agree to provide all necessary contact details and other information required for booking acceptance. Contact details include the pet owner’s name, an emergency contact’s name, phone number, and email address. You also agree to promptly notify us of any changes to these details.
2. All pets must be aged 4 months or older.
3. All pets must be spayed or neutered.
4. All pets must be fully vaccinated. Proof of current vaccination must be provided to us either at the time of booking or no later than 14 days before the check-in date for boarding pets. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if you fail to provide the pet’s current vaccination certificate as required by this policy.
5. All pets must have been treated for fleas and worms within 1 month before the check-in date.
6. Meow Hello Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any pet, including those exhibiting aggressive behavior, requiring professional medical care, or suspected of having illnesses, carrying infectious diseases, or parasites.
Boarding Check-in and Check-out
1. All pets being dropped off or collected from the facility must be in a carrier.
2. Please refer to our website for check-in and check-out hours. Early, late, or out-of-hours check-in/check-out may incur additional fees.
3. If the pet is not picked up after the check-out date, standard boarding rates will apply for each night.
4. Boarding rates are charged per calendar night, and the owner agrees to pay the boarding rate effective from the date the pet is checked in to Meow Hello Hotel. If the pet’s stay is shortened during certain peak periods, the full booking amount remains payable.
Disclosure
1. When making a booking or at any other relevant times, you are required to disclose any medical conditions or unique behaviors (such as timidity, fear aggressiveness, or any other behavioral conditions and/or previous observations that could impact your pet’s ability to safely integrate in a group setting) of your pets.
Abandoned Pets
1. If the pet is not collected within 14 days of the agreed departure date for boarding, and no communication is received from you or your emergency contact seeking to extend the pet’s stay, the pet will be considered abandoned by you. Meow Hello Hotel reserves the right to relinquish the pet to the local council, our chosen shelter, or seek an alternative home.
2. You are responsible for bearing the costs of additional boarding and any expenses incurred by us, including all costs incurred during this process.
Playground Access and Playtime
1. The playground allows entry for one group of pets from the same household at a time.
2. The availability and duration of playtime in the playground are subject to daily conditions.
3. For shy, nervous, or more guarded pets, we will keep them in their original room and facilitate relaxed and enjoyable interactions as appropriate.
Food and Medication
1. During your pet’s stay, we will provide food. If your pet has potential allergies to our provided food, specific dietary preferences, or is on a particular diet plan, please inform us in advance and prepare enough food for your pet yourself.
2. If you choose to provide your pet’s own food, we will adhere to the feeding instructions provided by the owner. The food needs to be individually portioned and labeled for each meal. Please note that we feed twice daily and can only provide feedings during business hours.
3. During check-in, please confirm the instructions for administering medications, if needed. Medication must be in the original container, labeled with veterinary details and instructions (expired medications cannot be accepted). This includes medications that can be mixed with food and given orally, or applied topically as directed.
4.If your cat needs a complex medication schedule crucial for its health, we recommend boarding them at your veterinarian’s office for their safety and comfort. They can provide specialized care that ensures your cat’s needs are met effectively.
5. If the pet requires medication, we will ensure that it receives the appropriate doses at the designated times. We do not accept any liability regarding the administration or non-administration of medication to the pet.
Urgent Care and Veterinary Treatment
1. If worms and/or fleas are detected on the pet at check-in or at any time during their stay at Meow Hello Hotel, immediate treatment will be administered at the owner’s expense.
2. Meow Hello Hotel, at its sole and absolute discretion, may engage the services of a registered veterinary surgeon to attend to any pet requiring veterinary treatment. The resulting veterinary fees and additional charges shall be borne by the owner, who hereby agrees to indemnify Meow Hello Hotel in respect of them.
3. In the event that the pet is injured or becomes seriously ill, and the owner cannot be contacted, the veterinary surgeon’s decision regarding the treatment of the animal shall be final and conclusive.
Social Media and Marketing
1. You acknowledge and agree to allow Meow Hello Hotel to photograph and/or film your pet at any time during the stay. The photographs and/or films may be used for marketing and promotional purposes on our website and/or social media accounts.
Liability and Assumed Risks
1. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that your pet’s behavior may deviate from normal, potentially resulting in injury or death to your pet or other animals at the facility. Additionally, we are not responsible for any items lost, damaged, or forgotten and brought into the facility.
2. When entrusting your pet to our care, you agree to assume all associated risks. You are solely responsible for your pet’s actions or behavior while at the facility. Except in cases of negligence on our part or that of our employees, we are not liable for any illness, injury, death, loss, or damage that may occur to your pet or other animals at the facility due to your pet’s actions.
3. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, costs (including legal fees on a full indemnity basis), losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from the illness, injury, or death of your pet or any other animal boarding at the facility due to your pet’s actions, except in cases of negligence by us or our employees.
4. You acknowledge and agree that, regardless of any other terms and conditions, our maximum liability to you for the services provided and your use of Meow Hello Hotel is limited to the amount equivalent to the fees and costs paid by you for the relevant service or use of Meow Hello Hotel. We are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential losses, such as veterinarian fees or loss of income.
